Thank you Arne! Honestly I leave them in the pot until spring, water very sparingly in the winter then when the new growth starts I divide very gently and repot. Each older bulb generally produces 1 or 2 new ones. The repotting gives me the opportunity to straighten the plants so that the new bulbs grow upright instead of sideways�� I remember Jack from this forum removes them completely from the pot in the winter and keeps them on the shaded back porch, no water until new growth in the spring.
