Weird Dend.

On different canes there are different blooms. The colors are the same but in a different arrangement. The ID label says dend. May Neal 'Uriawan' I think I have two different dend.s in the same pot, but I don't know . Does a single plant ever do this?

You might be right about 2 in the same pot , some of the growers do that before shipping them off to the stores .
Follow the cane on one of them down to the mix then push back some of the mix might be able to tell if there are 2 of them , They are very pretty . Gin

Once the blooms drop I am going to repot. I've had the plant for three years and haven't repotted, so it's high time. But this is the first time it's bloomed. I Googled dend. May Neal but couldn't find any pics. Does anyone know what it's supposed to look like?

I see May Neal listed as a parent in some hybrids, but could not find a photo. It appears to be widely known with SE Asia growers...

I love the colors and flower shape, Mark! Particularly the red one.

Den. May Neal is a near-primary hybrid: a cross between the primary hybrid Den. Hawaii (phalenopsis x tokai) and the species Den. schulleri.

The 'Uriawan' cultivar has never been awarded. But reading the award descriptions for different cultivars of May Neal, it sounds like both your spikes could be May Neal. These are two different awarded May Neals:

Exquisite flowers in sunset hues; deep orange-red concentrated at wide, flattened ends of petals, and in lip; greenish yellow side lobes in labellum.

Yellow with brownish cast, which becomes a stronger yellow as the flower matures.

My guess would be with Gin - maybe two plants in there, but it sounds as if they could both be May Neal. After it blooms, unpot it and check it out. It would be very cool if they're off the same plant!

If this is a first blooming... it could very well be two seedlings that have grown together... sometimes (and gosh, I know.. sorry to the paphs, I've tried to separate and ended up in orchid heaven) the little seedlings are so tangled up that it is better to leave the two seedlings together... and then one day, they both flower and voila... two clones of the same grex!

btw, forgot to mention that the flowers are an absolute beauty!!!

So there is actually a possibility that a single plant could have blooms this different? If so, let's rename it Zaphod Bebelbrox.

I don't really believe it, Mark. I'm more with Gin on the two plants in a single pot theory. But it's definitely worth proving. I had the weirder than Mars single flower Paph bloom two flowers this last winter. These guys can do anything! Let's just make sure the data is right!

Now all the leaves on all the canes are yellowing and falling off. I think this plant is going to teach me a lot.

I would say, it sounds like your plant has a lack of healthy root problen.Take it out of the the pot and check.
