Hi Gin,
I grow the Lycaste brevispatha up here in Spokane Washington. I don't give it any h2o other than a daily misting after the end of November. I also give it more light, either move it closer to indoor lights, or higher in the greenhouse. After the leaves are brown you can cut them off, or just cut them off anyway around December if they are still green. I seem to always get a good bloom out of it this way.
