    Default Pteroceras cladostachyum

    My schedule fitted this plant's. Blooms last for only a few hours, and I stayed home because I have the flu, so I was there when it opened.

    A few hours is far shorter than any orchids I'm familiar with. Do any other types fade so quickly?

    Is the short flower life span because they are self-pollinated? Nice eye candy.
