Information I cant find

Does anyone know anything about Solenangis apyhlla? I cant seem to come up with anything.

The genus is all wrong as its not even listed by the RHS international orchid register.

I have just found a writting about it.I will rewrite in it entirity.
2 species of Solenangis are known,S.scandens(Angraecum scandens) and S.clavata(Angraecum clavatum).neither of which appears to be in cultivation at this time .These are rather unusual and interesting epiphytic orchids of West Africa,with small white to greenish-yellow flowers.The genus seems to offer some possibilities to the connoisseur orchidist.Nothing is known of the genetic affinities of Solenangis.Culture,presumably as for Angraecum.

Solenangis aphylla- Easy to grow leafless from Madagascar. Here's one not often seen. The flowers are small 3 mm white and deep red. It's grown more for it's foliage, or lack thereof. Unlike many leafless varieties that grow roots out from a central crown, this species creeps along alternately sending roots out the sides of the stem. It always grows straight up, so should be mounted with plenty of room above. Seems to do well in moderate to bright light, intermediate to warm temps. Mounted divisions

Hi Sake,

Solenangis is in the Angraecum/Aerangis group of orchids, and it is the accepted name for that genus. It's small - there are only six species, Solenangis aphylla being one of the six.

Can't tell you much more than that you have the name right!
