Just wondering about phrags in s/h....I still use just regular tap water. I have heard that phrags are picky about water. Can you do a s/h setup with a Phrag, use regular water and get away with it? I've never tried a phrag. Thanks!!

I suppose it would depend on the quality of your tap water. We're very fortunate here to have good tap water, so that's all we use. Pete and Heather use distilled water and rain, I think.....
Uh oh...here comes the distilled water lecture...
(teehee!)

Thank you, Louis. Do I have to get a quality report from our local water company? That should take 3 years!

Wow, maybe I will try one!

H<-----recently recovering distilled water addict....![]()
How did you recover?![]()
Oh and I forgot to mention that I do not use s/h. Bark works fine for me (actually my plants) so why change when all my plants are all happy?!

I was gently sassed (Peter!) into believing it was likely not necessary and expensive to boot. Getting to the point where buying water for so many plants was kind of pricey. Granted my distilled water was also from Maine, so that might help to explain Pete's disdain...
I *did* use rainwater this morning however, thanks to a riotous good thunderstorm last night.
