Okay, so I'm curious to hear from our international growers out there. Pretty Bug and Paphraguy both have asked about this recently. So, what's the scoop - how available are certain genera in Europe - does Dana in Sweden have better luck getting say, Oncidiums than Joao in Portuagal? How available are the paphs/phrags? Is getting orchids from other European nations nearby as tricky as getting things from other countries over here? And as Jen asked, why is it that so many old world plants are trickier to get in the old world than here in the new (I think she mentioned their closer proximity)?

Is it simply a supply and demand issue? Is the "orchid craze" just more prevalent now in America? As it was in England throughout the victorian era? Do you guys have local societies?
