I have been reading about some of the dendrobium flowers here and there. I recently "assisted" my MIL with hers and got it to flower. Last year I got flower buds, but no flowers. This year I got one bud and had a OS friend put it in his greenhouse and we are now watching the spike extend and the bud swell.

I understand there are different types of dend that require different culture steps for health and flowering. Could someone please explain these differences and how to identify the plants that need them?

Oh, the name on my plant is Rinnapa. I will chech the RHS site for information, but if someone else knows of or can find information please jump in. I have a pic I pulled off the internet.
