sorry to hear what's happened! Don't feel too bad, we've all had our experiences with buds, spikes, flowers.. congratulate yourself that you got it to spike and keep doing what you have done, maybe it will re-spike, maybe it will wait till next year. But, you've learnt something very important and that's the kind of knowledge which makes you a better orchid grower!
