I've yet to see an ugly Marfitch. Yours is nice as well and I think you are right about the petals looking a little fuller. I'm a sucker for anything spotted and star-shaped...

Maybe yours will come around in the Spring. I've heard these bloom twice a year. Do you have a maturing growth?

Mine ought to be blooming sometime soon. It's much larger, and has seven big fat pseudobulbs, bigger than those on my Bllra. Tahoma Glacier. Two of the seven have recently matured, so I'm hoping for some action in the near future.

I got it over the summer, so I'm assuming it's just a season thing. I'm not worried - I just was hoping if I explained how everyone else's was blooming right now it might oblige me!

My Marfitch blooms just once a year, always in November-December. This past summer I divided mine and now the second one is about to open as well.

It came from a greenhouse, and my windowsill can not be confused with that environment! A change in conditions like that will frequently set new plants' blooms back several months for me.
