Sounds like I've missed quite an eventful couple of days with everybody's weather...
Hope it all settles down for everyone soon!!!
And I'll wish for some of the heat here in Oz to be shared everywhere else... *wish* *wish* *wish*

It is suppose to rain here today, so that means warmer weather. But I have to say the damage is done. Once of my work friends also own 80 arces of citrus and avocados. He told me this morning that the field manager said they were a 100% loss for this year for fruit, and 20% loss of new growth. It does happen about once every 10 -15 years he says.
My cyms have lost all the spikes that were out of the first sheath,(9 spikes lost - still have about 12 that were just starting that still look okay) and all the first year leaves are now black. I don't know how the p-bulbs will fare. Just have to buy some new ones at the show in Santa Barbara. Wonder how well their plants survived?
Hey, Gin - is your power back up yet? I'm assuming so, since you've been posting more today. Any damage from the storm?
It was 5 here when I went down to put up the flags this morning. I think it's 12 now. All that warm weather has made me soft. Brrr!

Power came on late yesterday we have a generator that runs quite a few things but not all at once .
Water came back on yesterday the pumping station was out . Now it is back offThe power might not last very long we are supposed to get more rotten weather .... snow
Gin
I hope you laid in a lot of cans of baked beans, Gin!
A bunch of my friends got stuck at the airport during the storm there. Every Jan there's a big piping event in Kansas City: competition, workshop, concert. Funny enough, it's called the Winter Storm Weekend. Maybe I'll come on out next year!
Road Trip!
