"You'll not have those 'chids in this house!" boomed the old bulbo to Ruby Lacklip. "And YOU, you little embarrasing twit!" he turned snidely to the newcomer. "How DARE you bring your spawn into this community!"
The others on the light cart twitched and nodded their agreement. "We must make a plan," whispered the brassy brassia.
Joey strained to hear their conversation.....

"No need," the old Bulbo scoffed. "I have the situation completely under control." His irritation was plain in his voice. It was enough he had to tolerate the sickening sweet fragrances of those around him. Why couldn't they smell manlier? It was enough he was addressed by mere hybrids - he, a species of superior parentage. He had been here the longest. He was clearly meant to rule this rabble, and rule he would. Not only did he possess the intellect to lead, he also possessed a secret. And he would use that secret to drive off the offensive NOID's. ...He spoke cat.

manlier? Is that cat speak?? Ooohhhh Joey could not believe his nose. Ha. The old bulbo may rule the roost but Joey had the eye of the girls. Still he should be careful...
He knew the old bulbo was watching.
Joey curled his leaves and nodded his dorsal. He peeked out at the cart and recoiled in shock. Was that HIS girl???!! Up there???!!! NEAR THE OLD BULBO????!!!!!

Chester snickered at all the hoddy toddy sniping and bickering going on up on the plant shelves. He knew the Bulbo could speak cat. The old busy body had tried several times to communicate with him. Chester would just ignore him and twitch his tail in annoyance. He knew the high class named variety and species plants were plotting against the trio of lovers, but he had BIGGER plans than that cooking in that evil cat brain of his.

Now where is that can of spray that the old lady sprays only after putting all of the plants out on the veronda and closing all of the doors and windows. There MUST be something about that stuff that should prove useful.......
