The lower spray is Phal Taiwan Glory, a lovely harlequin I picked up this winter. I already had a harlequin (Phal Ever-Spring Fairy, for which photos are posted here somewhere) but it always bloomed with cupped flowers and the blossums weren't well spaced. It drove me crazy, so I sold it when i got this one.
The upper spray is, of course, Phal Baldan's Kaleidoscope. A trusty war horse every collection should own. The plant is huge, and the flowers are a full 4" across! Last year it bloomed from Feb to Aug, and I finally cut the spike, even though it would have chugged on. It initially opened with 8 blooms, then later it put out another 13 - it's a keeper!
