At home I have a 50 foot hose that allows me to go most everywhere in the house. (I get tangled in it all the time) When I leave the house I have portable oxygen that goes with me. My family has provided an aide for me that is here from 8:00 to 12:00. She is great to take me shopping (wherever there is a cart) to the doctor etc. Yesterday we took a long drive which my husband and I really enjoyed. I haven't driven for months and Clyde no longer drives. I think that has been the hardest adjustment for me. But, I count my blessings as I adjust to a new chapter in my life.

I had a patient that used to say "It's a bitch getting old" I always responded."It sure beats the second choice" Sounds like you have a good attitude and that is more than half the battle. Good luck!!
