I have two question about spike

1. Have anyone see a Dendrobium bigbbum var compactum spike branch before?

2. How long is a Psychopsis spike grow before you see bud forming?

For the psychopsis it can be quite a long time, depending on which one it is. How long is the spike?

I haven't seen a branch on any Den. bigibbum, but suppose it is possible.

As for Psychopsis papillio, I have seen spikes almost 3 feet tall before producing a bud. You have a great plant there!

The Psychopsis Memoria Bill Carter spike is wrap around a stick 3/8 X 48. I assuming it over 4 feet tall already

if it not bigibbum then can you ID it for me. The plant is about 6 inches tall. you can see the actual plant at the beginning of thread. I also include the bloom of the plant. The white color on the flower is water damage.
