Here is an update of the Grammatophyllum spike that I photographed for a different thread on here somewhere a couple of weeks ago. The spike is now probably 9 or 10 feet in length. Many of the flowers are opening. The blooms themselves are not all that beautiful, but the amazing spike from this plant sure makes it a show stopper. In the first photo, I tried to capture as much of the spike as I could. The spike goes up from the plant and rests against a clay pot that is hanging in the GH. The pot (see top left of photo) is about three feet above the gramm. There, the spike turns back down and for the most part you can see it in the photo. Towards the end, just out of the photo, it turns back up again. The second photo is a close up of a bloom. Enjoy!
