    Default Neofinetia falcata

    Our new member Neorchidist probably has one of these in bloom now too! It seems it is their time to bloom. I had a hard time getting the photo to turn out. I was going to move the plant to another location and get the tripod, but the roots had grown down into the mesh of the bench, so this guy has taken permanent residence in his current location. (until he is finished blooming anyway...heheheheeee)

    Qing has some of these in her terrarium that were blooming recently; they are really lovely and delicate!!

    The first flower opened for me yesterday, June 9, 2007, on my Neofinetia falcata variety 'Komachi Musume' and I simply had to share it with you all. I snapped this photo just a few hours after the bud unfurled. I will take more pictures when more of the buds have opened. The flower possesses an especially nice dark saturated pink color don't you think?
