And here's a little plant that Mr E couldn't resist buying after he saw a huge one a few weeks ago at another show. The scent alone is worth the 7 pounds that he paid for it

So many different pretty orchids. Nice Buy Mr E!
Connie
This is one of those species that I simply adore! It's easy to grow and bloom, and it looks awesome and smells divine! Thanks Elena!
Thanks everyone! I think it's going to be one of the favourites here too, it's just so lovely.
7 pounds..that's like 14 bucks. A steal in my book *wink*
That one actually has flowers that are more open than the majority of this species that I've seen.
I keep putting off getting one. Are they tempermental? Grow like a phal or a paph or a catt?
Nice variation with yellow and red sepals, and with sepals that don't reflex
Diane,
Grow them like a catt. I had one for a few years, but I couldn't keep it neat and tidy and for some reason that drove me batty. The little pseudobulbs crawl everywhere and are best suited to basket culture or grown on some sort of totem (or hanging in the air, whatever...)
Easy plant to grow. Some cultivars are easier and more free flowering than others.
