Hi Fren, I can't advise anyone on orchids, I am a rank beginner but I am an experienced European - lol.

So. Rome. An Italian friend once said to me 'Roma, she suck'. Well that is not quite right but do beware of street vendors, particularly near the Vatican, trying to sell souvenirs, 'blessed by the Pope'. They are always a scam. Buy souvenirs of course but not in the street.

Florence is beautiful. All the art galleries and museums are fantastic. I think your tour will take care of that. Try and eat on the Ponte Vecchio.

Paris is my favorite city in the world. You could spend 10 days there and still not see all the sights. Try to go to the Sacre Coeur. Not as old as Notre Dame but fantastic. And a ride on a bateau-mouche up the Seine.

Just one other thing (I could go on) in Dijon if you like food bring some genuine mustard home. It is not like the supermarket mustard. Superb!
