Some kind of Oncidium

This is the Oncidium I bought today. I've transplanted it ina mix of a pure bark and a little peat! Every single root was dead so I cutted them off! I hope it will make new ones soon? There is the pic? Should I put a bag on the plant to increase humidity?

I would. That poor thing is going to have a bit of a struggle. Do you have any rooting hormone?

Yes, and I've already putted it on a rhisome. I noticed root growth on one bulb!

What do you think.. In percents, how much % will this thing survive?

Hopefully one of the real experts will give you a guess.. I regularly kill onc and intergenics WITH roots... LOL!

I once had an oncid With roots...I killed it in two weeks. Good luck there!

wow, you sure those roots were all dead? the plant looked too green and healthy to have a fully dead root system. It will grow roots again, just keep it humid and dont disturb it. It will take time to recover.

Well, I have lots of killing onc experience....and in this experience those little plants can hang on quite some time without roots. Though not indefinitely, so getting and keeping roots is definitely what you want to do but those pseudobulbs keep the plant hanging on longer than you would think.

At this that has been the case for me.

Well, today, I've got a cutting of Cattleya. It have roots and one new bulb growing from the base. What do you think? Will it survive?
