I have a Phal. that is labeled P. Meller Gold x P. Yukimai. I've had it for 2 yrs. it's never bloomed and the label says it's yellow. Could this be a miniature Phal?? I couldn't find any info on it, help anyone?

This is my problem. I purchased this plant about 2 yrs ago. The root system is fat and vigerous. The leaves are tiny and I'm wondering if it's a miniature. It has never bloomed. It's labeled P. Meller Gold x P. Yukimai Yellow. I tried to find some info on it, but no luck.Help anyone

Hmm, looks like a mini...esp. if you have had it that long. I've never heard of this cross myself...course i'm still a baby at this....one of the real experts around here may know more though. I have a few small phals, in bloom, and they are barely larger than that one.

I don't know if it's a mini but it looks like Val has one too.

Thanks for the lead on Val. You're a gem!
Hi Ischel,
I have moved this post to the correct forum. Please try to post in the correct forums. The Using the Boards area is for problems with the software and forum features. Thanks! Also, do not post the same question more than once or in more than one of the forums here. You will get an answer.
Cheers,

I ran the Meller's Gold through the RHS website and the first ancestor I came across is P. amboinensis...definitely not a miniature!
This site is very helpful in doing an orchid pedigree:

The avitar is Blc. Haw Yuan Beauty 'Hong'. Glad you like
