Out of order wilting

My Dtps. Queen Beer flowers are starting to wilt but the strange thing is that they are not wilting in order. The lowest 2 have curling petals and sepals the first (lowest) one more so than the second. The 3rd and 4th ones are fine but then the 5th is already completely wilted. The other 4 above that are fine (the last one has only opened a day or two ago.

Is this a normal process, since I thought that they should wilt from the bottom up? I posted before that the last of the 10 buds has dried and fallen off, and the branching spike hasn't grown an mm as far as I can tell.
The only recent changed is from a 10 day water/fertilizer cycle to an 8 day one.

It is possible that your plant, because of the conditions in which it lives, is not able to produce enough energy to sustain more than a couple blooms on the spike at a time. As the newer blooms open, the older blooms quickly fade - this has happened to me in the past as a result of only being able to give the plants 4-5 hours of sunlight a day. What type of conditions does this plant have?

I'm in Vancouver Canada so light is limited as it usually rains a lot but the last few weeks since I got it have been fine because it has only been overcast for 3-4 days. Could it be from fertilizing too much or under watering?

Hi ,
Might be from under watering if your humidity is low ,and it is getting very dry before you water again .
As long as the roots are good, that is my guess, barring brown scale or some other nasty . Gin
