    Default What qualifies as a specimen orchid?

    I am curious about the criteria that determines whether an orchid plant qualifies as a specimen.
    Is it based strictly on size? number of growths and flowers? age? presentation?

    Does the AOS or RHS have any set guidelines on what is considered a specimen orchid?
