Brachys vs. Parvis

I can't figure out the differences between these two. Are they different to grow and also, does either of them dislike s/h?

brachys: small plants, yellows to whites with darker markings, often 2 or even 3 flowers. bellatulum, niveum, godefroyae, leucochilum, concolor. i find that they HATE s/h. i'm sure someone out there has luck with s/h, but i will never put another brachy into s/h again. they like good light, pure water, and they prefer to dry out slightly more than your average paph. very prone to basal rot, so don't pot too deep.

parvis: most have big inflated pouches. delenatii was the original parvi. for a long time it was lumped together with the brachys and everybody thought it was the oddball brachy. now it's a parvi where it should be. other new parvis: armeniacum, micranthum, malipoense, emersonii. the newest ones are vietnamense, jackii, hangianum, some of which are still illegal in this country. i have grown the first four i mentioned, and they all do fine in s/h. good light, but other than that not too temperamental. armeniacum & micranthum may be the most difficult to bloom--i hear they require a real cool spell in winter.

Yes. This grex is a total weed. It does as well as any paph in s/h. You could probably grow it in potting soil and it'd still do well.

How about Thomas Fourman? I just bought this beautiful plant a couple of weeks ago (liemianum x malipoense) or visa versa. It is in bud, plus has two new growths coming out - one on each side !

I'm hoping it smells like malipoense.....

I don't have any experience with TF. I would imagine that it is an easy grower, as both parents are...and the primary hybrids usually get a hefty dose of "hybrid vigor".
