I have most of mine under an oak tree. They seem to be happy there. I have 2 Dens in the house, and they seem fine where I have them. The strange thing is, these are suppose to like alot of light, and they are not near a window. I placed them in the spots they are in when I bought them, and had not really started doing research on lighting, etc. One has been in bloom since I bought it almost 2 months ago, and it still looks the exact same. I would keep an eye on the leaves for color, but especially the roots. They seem happy where you have them, don't mess with them. They tend to like medium light. I put my inside orchids out on Saturday mornings and give them a good watering. 1/4 th fert. I also either use distilled water, or rain water. All of my orchids are in clay pots. The ones inside are sitting on the clay dishes with glass marbles in them. I keep them above the water that I pour into the bottom dishes to increase the humidity. I have to add water daily. I have a couple of Vandas outside (south side) that I water every 2 to 3 days. They get sun from sun up until about 11A. They are in orchid bark and wooden baskets. My outdoor phal is in a wooden basket and orchid bark also. It is under my oak tree, and never gets direct sunlight.
