    I have no idea either, is it from a cactus?

    It's not an orchid.

    Nor is it an cactus or any other type of succulent.

    It belongs to a group of Old World tropical plants.

    These flowers are from a male plant.


    That makes 4 hints. Let's see some homework getting done!
