Plants spiking, Need help

Hello all,
I went to water my plants last week and found that 4 of them are spiking. I live in N. Texas and it has been getting cooler with a few unusualy warm days thrown in. I grow in a south facing window ledge. The outside temps are getting down to the 30's-40's (night) the inside is kept around 70 or so. I only had a one bloom this summer and the spike was short and it dropped it's blooms early. I want to make sure these develop well. Should I keep them right next to the window or move them back a bit? I started using a bloom fert today. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

What type of plants are these? Phals? If so, I would leave them where they are unless the suns attitude is giving them direct light, then move them further from the window.

I'm not so worried about light levels , but we don't have double glazing and it worries me that my plants aren't being kept warm enough. I bring them into the room at night, and my phals have been ok, I'm not so worried about my cool growers but I have a couple of baby catts and I really really want flowers next year!
