This is a phrag. sorcerer's apprentice 4n x amazonica 'Birchwood'. Of course I know that these can get huge, but it seems like the leaves are so big that they can't stand up on their own. The two growths that are the longest are mature- one bloomed and one I am hoping will bloom soon. But could the heavy leaves prevent a spike from emerging?
Could this be a nutrient defencicy? Do any of you know if this is a problem, or only a quirk of giant phrag. hybrids?
