Ditto to wetfeets post they hate cold, along with wet a double whammy , the leaves get bad looking when dying off , As long as the canes are firm and the roots ok it will probably lose the leaves and later on start a new cane from the base of the old . If the canes start to get soft then that says rot has taken over . I agree with removing the spike (sorry) If they are from who I think they are from initials O.M or B. A ... send it back . Gin
