I've just noticed this afternoon that my Ansellia africana var alba is producing a keiki right on top of one of its leafless pbs. I've not heard or seen this before. I had noticed that it was starting to grow leaves out of the top of this pb which looked strange, but today I noticed roots.
This plant is in the sun all day, gets watered 4-5 times a week, is throughly pot bound, potted in a 6" clay orchid pot and fertilized with osmocoat (sp?).
