My Little Phrag Besseae In Spike

Hey all. I have this little Besseae 'Fox Valley Flame'x Select in a 2 1/4 in pot that is budding. When I bought this little one, they told me it was probably a year to 2 yrs away from flowering. Well apparently not so. I have had it about 5 months. Is this normal for them to flower so early?

Not much. You have any helpful info? I know to only use pure water and I keep it sitting in a dish of water. That's my info.

looks blooming size to me.

keep it wet! don't ever let it dry out.

I have mine sitting in water (because I can't water it all the time) and moss is growing all over the top like green carpet . I grow mine in sphagnum moss, but they can take other sorts of medium, I am sure. I think mine was originally in lava rock, bark, gravel, etc.

This one came in a bark mixture and I haven't changed it. I do keep it sitting in water though. I have thought about converting it to spag. I really like this one. I am thinking if I can keep this one going, I will get some more phrags.
