Vanda Seedlings in s/h

My sister has given me a flask of vanda coerulea (approx 8 plants).

I am planning to put the seedlings in s/h.

Has anyone had any experiences with vanda 'seedlings' in s/h?

I wonder if vandas can be grown in s/h permanently if they adapt to s/h as seedlings?

Yes, they can. I have asked the guru of semi-hydro culture, Ray Barkalow (sp?) and he says Vandas adapt readily as seedlings to s/h culture and can be grown like that. I've seen vandas in straight water culture in a vase that have beautiful roots.

I recently transferred two stubborn vandaceus hybrid seedlings into S/H. One is a vanda and the other is a holcoglossum.
It is still too early to tell if they like it or not, but I will share any worthwhile updates regarding those two.
I think there is actually a keiki sprouting from the bottom of the holcoglossum, but I dont want to disturb it by moving the LECA around too much.

From my understanding (correct me if I am wrong) mature vandas in general do not adapt well to s/h.

How long has your vanda species been in s/h?
