    The lily is really cool. Does it always point down like that?

    The trout lily (Erythronium americanum ) starts to open in the upright position and then takes this nodding stance. It closes at night and is pollinated by ants.
    the seed from it can take 7 years from seed to blooming. Once the plant develops it's second leaf, then it is ready to bloom. It stands about about 7-8" tall.

    The Pulmonaria (lungwort) do look similar to Primrose but are in the Borage family and are native to Europe and Western Asia

    Many of the Pulmonaria have purple flowers that change to pink, with age. Most also have silver spotted leaves. I have one that has the prettiest of deep blue flowers
