So pretty--in a strange bug-like way. My Kalihi has been in bloom for months now--(new flowers not the same flowers). It always seems to be what people notice first--"what a strange looking flower!" Yours is a beauty--enjoy!
Very nice. Do you have it in a pot, or is it mounted? I bought one about a month ago and mounted it. It seems to be doing very well so far.
Sadie, I agree, Psychopsis seem to always attract attention even of the non-orchid folks. I showed it to father in law and even he thought it was really cool and asked if they were difficult to grow.
Mine is potted. With a couple of miniature exceptions I don't really have the conditions to grow plants mounted here. I don't think I've ever even seen a mounted Psychopsis.
Wow, a beauty! Psychopsis are so vibrant and unusual. Good growing and great pic.

I bought one last summer that has two spikes. No flowers....not sure if they are still growing and will eventually bloom or if I'm just SLOWLY killing it! I think one of the spikes has actually grown a little since moving in here-as it's twisting around the stake.
Lovely bloom! Good thing I can get my Psychopsis flower fix some how!![]()
