You "hope" you don't go crazy shopping?? What are those shows for if not to shop for something amazing?? It's okay, you'll get used to the shopping binges....someday. J/K Actually, as I've been joking lately, when your shelves get too full, then it's really easy to slow down. I could probably make room, but until I can get my Violecia to look like the one BD just posted I'm going to go back to studying and slow up the buying for abit. His plants are always amazing!

I wish I could grow those.
I just joined the Mass. Orchid Society, which holds monthly meetings, and went to my first meeting last Tues. The guest speaker was a grower of intergeneric hybrids (mostly of the oncidium type) and she had a great slideshow whith some spectacular flowers, but nothing as nice as your phal.

I got a free plant (a little paph not in bloom) and there were many nice people, an informal judging of plants grown in people's homes and greenhouses. Very inspiring!

I will be going to an orchid show (my first) this Oct. on Halloween weekend.
Hopefully, I will learn more about orchid culture, and hopefully I can stay within a budget and not go crazy when I go to the show!!!

That is a great looking violacea. I love how all of them are just slightly different--gives them real character I think. Yours is beautiful--and fruitilicious too.
