    I know that Catts Percivaliana can smell really bad, some worse than others and I have read that the Alba form is usually not that stinky ...
    So far the blooms smell faintly of batter (as in pancake batter) and hopefully it will stay this way!

    I am proud of you, Laurent. For me, the cattleyas are why I grow orchids. I time the seasons by them now...*wink*

    Glad to see your plant made it to blooming, Laurent. It's obviously happy. I don't find the smell unpleasant at all. I guess it could be a matter of taste, but I don't even find mine is terribly strongly scented, let alone strong & unpleasant. Looks like we both like the Laelia like quality of the flowers.
