Beautiful photos, this one has been on my wish list for a while.
Just an update. Enjoy!
nice photos and bloom!
I'm sorry to say this, I am not sure that is Maudiae 'The Queen' AM/AOS. The overall shape of the flower and pouch don't look the same. There have been people selling green paphs this way I heard somewhere.
But maybe I'm wrong and the second bud will be what I expect
Fren, can you point me to a Queen photo so I might compare? Maybe a PM ? Thanks,Joe
a beautiful flower, there's something so wonderful about these green and white Paphs.
I agree with Fren, it doesn't appear to be consistent with 'The Queen', I suspect it may be a selfing as there have been many of those sold.
What ever your Paph is I think it is rather beautiful, thank you for the photos and I hope it stays in bloom a long time for you. well done on flowering it!
Very nice indeed. They'll be royal when they open.
One question: does anyone know what causes these 'ribs' in paphs' leaves like the front one in these photo's? A cross-section would resemble a 'w' or an 'm'. I have a few with that condition, and I wonder if it's just one of those thing that happen from time to time due to flexing during growth or if it's caused by irregular watering or something equally avoidable? Will it stay or will it go away after a while?
Cheerz!
Oh, I see the update on page two now. The white is stunning.
