Great idea! I also use this idea to keep the wrens from roosting in my maxilaria. They don't do the plant any harm but they pull out the medium and wallow a hole so they can sleep there at night. I hate to run them off (they roost in my staghorn fern, too, but it is big and can handle it) but I want this max to grow into the space they are using. Good demo, Cindi.

That would work for alot of types...not just semi-hydro. I'm guessing anyone with the gangly tall den's would love this too! Great idea...thanks!

or intermittent windy weather. I try to keep most of my plants in pot trays...that helps keep them from falling over and makes it easier to move a bunch at a time...but that looks like a great idea! I hate when the Leca gets caught in the cracks between the boards on the deck. My cat will occasionally take a ball from a pot as a play toy
