Amey, there is quite a variation in this species and many varieties are described. I can't be certain about the ID of yours but those petals are very much a characteristic of villosum.

Rosalia, the plant has a leaf span of about 30cm... they don't take up much space though as the fan grows on a strongly upright V shape.

The reason this one looks different is because it is. This is a HYBRID of villosum and not the true species.

I was also thinking on the same lines. The nursery seems to have given the wrong name tag. A NOID again then, or do you know what hybrid it could be??
