Hi Tom, you wouldn't have a picture of your whole plant w the flower, would you? I have a bulbo aestivale on a stick, and there are these tiny, tiny buds at the ends of thread-like inch-long spikes appearing now, and I don't know if it's the bulbo spiking or the moss flowering. And is this free flowering? Should it be flowering now?

It sounds like your plant is spiking. Yes, the spike is thin like thread. My plant blooms anytime except the winter months.
