hi derek,
t.brachiata or t.atropurpurea are the same and both used.

t.philippinensis are those brown or maroon types with the white rim.

funny about the Trichoglottis... alas, awarding an incorrectly tagged plant is not a new one....

@Tim-- I took several pics overlooking the river, but only two turned out. I have a fairly old 3.2mp camera, so you can't really crop the pics and I have to frame the pics just right, which is tough when on a cliffside. Time to get a new camera before any new orchids. Although the pics aren't as good, I have several more slippers that I managed to get pictures of---so I've attached a Phrag Inca Embers and a Phrag ouaisne for ya.

On a side note, I got there right as the show opened, so I got a pretty good pick of the plants. This was the best Neofinetia there, and soaking the roots last night showed they are all alive and very healthy, very bright green the whole way through. I've been looking at pics of these guys for while, and I'm glad to have gotten one.

Trichoglottis philippinensis var brachiata I think is the old naming scheme used by some growers where they considered it to be a different variety until it was re-classified under its own unique name, Trichoglottis atropurpurea.

Ron is correct where he refers t. philippinensis as either one of those brown or maroon types with the white edges.

Perhaps Jim Cootes can give us a clearer understanding of the three Trichoglottis types in discussion here.
