paph . Supersuk 'Eureka' AM/AOS and another

Hi Bill - I'm awed by your paph photos, especially since I'm now trying to bloom my first Supersuk 'Eureka' etc, like yours. I posted a couple of pictures of it below in this thread and I had a couple of questions (I'm a REALLY new grower and even newer paph grower). 1) Why is the dorsal part still lying down after the other parts bloomed at least 5 or 6 days ago- the rest seem in great shape; 2) some (maybe 2 or 3) of the leaves are a little stiff and curly - is that bad news or normal? and 3) could I possibly be seeing a new cluster of growth near the main plant already? As I recall, Stacie, it did. That was one of my first paphs and I was completely uninitiated into the R-E-A-L-L-Y S-L-O-W blooming schedule that paphs are generally on. In fact, I still get nervous when I see buds that, in my opinion, ought to be getting larger and moving along, staying small for what seems like weeks. I'm always afraid I've done something to blast them, or somehow spoil the bloom - and then they pull themselves together and bloom perfectly, and for weeks! I have one right now that I thought I'd lost and today it suddenly looks twice the size it was yesterday - of course, I often repot my paphs in bud right after I get them (put them in S/H, along with all the others) and, although I've never lost one (fingers crossed), the repotting might have slowed them down On the other hand, I can't really say that I see a difference in their schedules regardless of whether they get repotted. Enjoy your 'Eureka' - they're beautiful!

Bill: I have three plants of the Supersuk X Raisin Pie cross and I'm amazed at the variation in them. One of them looks like the one you posted (and is my favorite), and the others are vini-colored. By the way, I think the cross is now Paph. Hsinying Alien.
