Very nice, looks happy.
How do you keep the roots from drying?
I have an oncidium mounted on cork that I received as a gift. There's no other media and I can't seem to keep the roots moist, tried misting at least once daily. Last night I placed the bottom in a shallow dish filoed with water, I'll see if that works.
ive been a failure in oncidiums but lately all of my bulb types orchids went plump and roots have grown profusely... ive topped them with small pebbles... any explanation... thats what i add... i just add it just below the bulb...
@Zainal Abidin-- I water every other day or so, and soak it in the sink for over an hour about once a week.
@jkhom-- I don't even attempt to keep the roots wet. I let them dry out just like they'd do if it was outside in the tropics and it didn't rain for a day or two. I just make sure I water regularly and soak it routinely. I worry more about overwatering then underwatering, as I let the psuedobulbs store water when I soak it....
