Vanda Lamellata var. Boxallii
There were more plants but it was a little past noontime and I was getting tired and hungry. The weather was getting hot so I decided to call it a day and I still had to do some orchid shopping at the stalls lined outside the display area. I only bought two plants - a phalaenopsis hybrid, P. Sara Gold and a philippine specie, Den. Bullelianum.
I'll post the photos of the plants I bought later in the other thread.
Wonderful pics! I wish I could have been there, I would have tried to take home a Blc. Fringe Benefits, sooooo gorgeous!
Unfortunately this years' start-of-year show isn't as fabulous as some of the past shows I've attended. Maybe perhaps due to the erratic climate? So much for global warming ..... Hmmmm .....
Well, there's still the mid-year show and if the climate improves and is more favorable, who knows? We might see some better and head-turning displays.
Nice. Well, if you attend, you must post pics, so those of us who live so far away can drool![]()
Lovely Show! Thanks for sharing.
Jojo. these plants belong to private collectors or some nurseries.
Wow, Jojo, these are awesome shots. I especially love the paphiopedilum Randsii.
Cheers,

WOW!!! Jojo, how could you do that to me....?!?!?!?!?
OK... I think I am going to the International Orchid Show in Miami tomorrow....
Yes - actually both. Most of the private collectors are also vendors at the same time.
Some samples and/or propagated plants shown in the displays were being sold in the booths lined up outside the display area. Most of the species on display could be bought in the nurseries adjacent to the show area (if they were not sold out)
