Deflasking my babies

Jeff, how did you prepare them for the compots:
Did you leave the babies in the flask and leave it unopened so it would get adjusted to the new environment?
Did you soak the flasklings before potting up?
How are you ensuring sufficient humidity for them? Are you keeping them covered?
Did you wash the containers for the compots in physan or bleach before you potted? .....

P.S. These are not idle questions. I just got a flask and though I thought I was educating myself on deflasking, I suddenly feel v inadequate. I DON'T want to screw up and kill all these helpless babies!!!!

I don't do any preparation for deflasking. They go directly from flask to compot. I do soak them in warm water when I remove them to help remove agar from the roots. I try to gently separate them and sort by size. When first potted up I like to keep them in a fish tank which helps a bit with the humidity. I only partially cover the top. I run my plastic pots through the dishwasher. I place a cup of bleach on the bottom rack that gets splashed into the cycles as they run. I hope this helps.
