Hi Bruce, the one that is flowering is just about a 30cm high but it's sitting on top of my BBQ together with my other flowering orchids to make it a bit challenging for the snails and slugs to get into )

I am not sure if you have copper coins in Australia now (when I visited the penny was no more) but if you do drop one in the pot. That should help keep the snals and slugs away.

Thanks Bruce. That is an interesting info. We don't have copper coins anymore but hopefully it will work with anything copper so will try that. It's this time of the year that these slugs and snails come out that they'd fester even the ones in a hanging pot.
