Den Burana Sunshine 'Mutation'

Some time ago I posted a picture of this NOID dendrobe that I got from Thailand. This mutated form is quite popular in Thailand. After enquiries the vendor from whom I bought the plant managed to get the name of the plant. It is D Burana Sunshine 'Mutation'.

I have shown this plant to several friends and these are their reactions.

'Grotesque' ; 'Monstrosity'; 'Ugh';That's an orchid?'; 'Why take the trouble to grow that?'; 'Is this from this world?" 'I'm speechless.'

'Nice'; 'Exquisite'; 'Stunning'; 'Where can I get one?'

Why do I keep it? It's a nice conversation piece. The spike even has a side branch!
