Thanks Bob for enlightening us on the requirements for Cymb species and hybrids (cooler climates). Furthermore , species like Cym. finyalsonianum has gone thru a very long period of natural selection.

Great job BD. I was looking for it in the foliage and thought it was too well camouflaged to be seen. Confucius say "If you look and cannot see, maybe you are looking in the wrong place" .PS. He must have said it - he said everything else. hehehe

Have just aquired a Cymbidium finlasonianum. what is best method of culture for it, bearing in mind I live in the U.K. and am a novice at growing orchids. this one is quite a nice size and comes from Taiwan. It is "bare rooted " at present.
