Hey Betty!
I have two 400 watt metal halide lights with reflectors do you think if I hung them close that would be enough light. I was aware that they need watering everyday when bare root, do they also need daily watering when potted?

Nicely grown and superbly photographed.
I water by dipping the pots about every week . In the summer, I spray the plants as often as I can , maybe every other day.
As to direct sunlight , I have two layers of say 40% shade cloth on the glass for six months of the year....
I also grow cattelyas, oncidiums, paphs, etc., all in more or less the same conditions - actually the vandas hang up to get better natural light, whereas the other stuff is on the benches below.
I have about 150 Vandas, currently have flowers or spikes on about 30 of them.
'Nuff said ?

I will be there in a moment Geoff, I take my coffee with milk without sugar LOL !! Amazing healthy plant, truly shows what spectacular results will be obtained when this plant grows up !!
