Well, if anyone can grow & bloom them, you can, Yew. I grew them for yrs. but never had a bloom...finally gave them away!Would someone please enlighten me as to HOW to get them to bloom? Thanks...Betty :-(

Such gorgeous deep colors...they are both lovely. I might have to check into the Rung Aroon, especially!
Thanks everyone for looking in. I've been told they love the full sun and it is not uncommon here to see them in beds in the ground or in pots right out in the full sun with no shade.

Thanks for this timely information, Yew. We had a couple of these at our Orchid Club sale last weekend. The tags just said "Epi. Max", and no one was exactly sure what they were but they were so intriguing that club members bought them anyway. I loved the tightly packed succulent-like leaves and their red/orange color was just electric! My sister was one who couldn't resist one (I already had too many new pretties in my basket) so she will be glad to have better information on what to do with it. We would never have thought to try full sun.
I'll have to see if I can find some, if they're that easy to grow - and beautiful!
